Dr. Sabo received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from University of Alberta, Canada in 2008. After practicing clinical dentistry for 2 years, she realized that her passion was helping patients with the stress of dental treatment. As a first step toward becoming an anesthesiologist, she first did an internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery 2010 – 2011 at the University of Illinois, Chicago. She then went to New York to pursue her dental anesthesiology specialty degree at Saint Barnabas Hospital where she was a chief resident and which she completed in 2013. This advanced training provided her with the ability to not only understand but also to predictably treat various patient populations who are unable to undergo dental treatment in a conventional manner under local anesthesia. She had a deep understanding of the special needs population since one of her children has autism. As a mother to a special needs child, she is devoted to helping other children and adults with the same diagnosis who must undergo complex dental procedures. She understands that the treatment and expectations of the these patients and their families can be very different from a neurotypical population in a dental setting. Dr. Sabo serves as an office anesthesia evaluator for the Dental Board of California. She also owns and manages her own general dental practice, and her husband is an oral surgeon. Between the two of them they have a very large experience treating dental patients for various dental problems. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children outdoors in San Francisco playing tennis, going to Warriors games and skiing.
