Richard Katz, MD co-founder Bay Area Mobile Anesthesia

As a Co-Founder of Bay Area Mobile Anesthesia, Dr. Richard Katz combines top-tier clinical training with extensive administrative expertise to ensure the highest safety standards for his patients. Board-certified and UCLA-trained, Dr. Katz has a deep background in pediatric anesthesia. His leadership credentials are distinguished; he previously served as the CEO and CFO of Associated Anesthesiologist Medical Group and later as the Regional Medical Director for Envision California Anesthesia Services, managing anesthesia standards for 15 hospitals and over 30 surgery centers across the state.

Dr. Katz co-founded BAMA in 2011 to bridge the gap between hospital-level anesthesia and the dental chair. He now focuses exclusively on providing safe, high-quality care for both adults and children in dental offices. He specializes in treating pediatric and geriatric patients, as well as those with autism or special needs who require a gentle, patient-centered approach. He also provides a calm and dignified environment for patients struggling with severe dental anxiety. A General Anesthesia Evaluator for the Dental Board of California, Dr. Katz remains committed to clinical excellence. When he isn’t practicing, he is usually outdoors, hiking or taking road trips through the hills of the Western U.S. with his wife and children.
